Equipment and facilities are booked after a program proposal has been approved for a specific project. The equipment is scheduled on a first come, first served, non-discriminatory basis. Comcast Cable Channel 26 provides basic training to all residents of Marin County free of charge, for the specific purpose of making public access television programs to be scheduled on Comcast Cable Channel 26. 

Studio

The Comcast Cable Channel 26 studio is fully equipped with three Sony DXC 3000A cameras, 3/4" VTRS, a Mackie audio board, an Echolab switcher, and a Videonics Powerscript 4000 character generator for graphics.

The studio is used for "live to tape" productions, or "live on air" productions, as needed.

Field Equipment

SVHS (super VHS) and DV (digital video) field packages are available for location shooting. The camera packages can incorporate all the equipment that is needed to produce a successful field shoot, such as lights, audio equipment, monitors, tripods, cables, extension cords, and power strips.

Editing Bays

Comcast Cable Channel 26 offers two edit systems,  an SVHS to SHVS cuts-only edit bay, and an Avid Xpress Pro edit bay which is non-linear and uses DVCam tape.
