About Channel 26: |
Comcast welcomes you to Channel 26, the public access television channel that serves Marin County, California and its Comcast Cable subscribers (except Novato: see below**). Channel 26 is a combination of several kinds of programming:
5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday*)
Public Access television programs
*Thursdays:
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Comcast manages and operates the public access facility for Marin County. Residents are provided with introductory training and equipment free of charge to produce informational and innovative public access television programs.
NOTE: The introductory field production class and the introductory SVHS edit class are reserved only for field producers, or for people already signed up to help someone on a field production. This class is for people who have a specific project ready to start.
Programming must be non-commercial and follow FCC guidelines. Comcast Cable Channel 26 may be used by Marin County residents, including those not in the Comcast service area. Comcast Cable Channel 26 has no editorial control over public access programs unless the programs involve obscene or commercial material. Residents may also sponsor pre-produced programs to air on the channel.
**Note:
Novato is served by a physically separate Comcast Cable system and has its own public
access channel, run by a non-profit organization, which is also channel 26. It is called NPAT (Novato Public
Access Television) and its website is
http://www.npat.org.
